The “made in Israel” tag is a project created by the Ministry of Economy meant to encourage Israeli consumers to choose to buy products made in Israel. The way chosen is to put a prominent tag on products meeting criteria to be defined as made in Israel. The definition for an Israeli product is a product whose Israeli component price is at least 35% and from which other products were obtained.

A product or service with a green tag reduce the use of hazard material, improve energetic efficacy and reduce the harm to the environment. The main purpose of this standard is to ensure the quality and safety of food and to ensure that retailers take the utmost precautions while maintaining quality at all stages of the supply chain: development, production, distribution, advertising, and sale of food products. This standard is very significant in the production of packaging for the food sector.
